WELCOME TO RECON FITNESS
Recon is a nonprofit fitness and martial arts gym in Westbrook, Maine committed to empowering and connecting our community through BoxFit, Boxing, Striking, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Submission Grappling (Jiu-Jitsu), and Cross-training. Our memberships have been made affordable to lower the barrier of entry for interested men, women and kids so that Greater Portland can have the opportunity to learn and be impacted by these incredible sports in a supportive, family-oriented community.
BOXING | BEGINNER TO ADVANCED
30 minutes of boxing technique and 30 minutes of directed training focused on exploring strategy and execution. Designed for all levels.
MUAY THAI | BEGINNER TO ADVANCED
A 60-minute class. This class includes authentic Muay Thai techniques and partner drills designed for all levels.
WRESTLING | BEGINNER TO ADVANCED
A 90-minute practice taught by collegiate level coaches that covers all styles of wrestling. The practice is catered towards all levels. Focus shifts seasonally between Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco-Roman styles.
MMA STRIKING | BEGINNER TO ADVANCED
30 minutes of boxing technique and 30 minutes of directed training focused on exploring strategy and execution. Designed for all levels.
NO GI BJJ | BEGINNER-ADVANCED
A 60-minute class taught by experienced competitor and amateur MMA fighter Henry Clark. This class is beginner-friendly and covers basic and advanced offensive and defensive skills that may be applied to live rolling or competition. No experience is required.
